Manica Health Services Inc is excited to share that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced the launch of new immigration pilots for home care workers, opening on March 31, 2025. Known as Canada’s “Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots,” these programs align perfectly with our mission to support and empower caregivers, including those joining our team at Manica.

These pilot programs replace the expired Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot, offering eligible home care workers permanent residence (PR) upon arrival in Canada. This is a significant opportunity for caregivers seeking to build a future in Canada while delivering compassionate care with organizations like Manica Health Services Inc.

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for these enhanced care worker pilots, foreign nationals must:

  • Have an official language ability at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4;
  • Hold a Canadian high school diploma equivalent;
  • Possess recent and relevant work experience;
  • Receive a full-time employment offer for a home care role, such as those offered by Manica Health Services Inc.

Note: As of June 16, 2024, previous programs required only 6 months of experience. IRCC has yet to release full details on updated experience requirements.

“At Manica Health Services Inc, we’re thrilled about these new pathways. They not only benefit caregivers but also strengthen our ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our clients across Canada,” said a Manica spokesperson.

Background and Manica’s Role

IRCC announced plans for these pilots on June 3, 2024, with closures of prior caregiver programs following on June 17, 2024. As a leader in caregiving, Manica Health Services Inc sees this as an opportunity to attract skilled professionals to join our team, enhancing our ability to serve families with personalized care solutions.

We’re committed to supporting caregivers through this transition, offering training and job opportunities that align with these new immigration pathways. Contact us to learn how you can join Manica and make a difference in Canadian homes.
